Another good book cover

This is an old book cover was designed for the cook book in 1953. I like this book cover because the composition of the text in the book cover which was made people have a feeling about wanting know more what inside the book. The technique of using typography is good.

This is the book cover for the novel name Heyday of Kurt Andersen, and it was designed by Gabrielle Bordwin. I like this cover because it conveyed the meaning of the novel very well. The novel is about the life in the early nineteenth century. The tone of the background is a little bit dark and it work very well to show that the time of the novel. For the image of the man, it also fix to the background and convey the people in this particular time. This was the period of the new modern people and the industrial revolution.

The good logo

The logo above was designed by Ralph Percival for the big science project of the years. The thing I like in this logo is that the simpleness and easy to understand. The icon represents for the sciences and it is across the sphere which is represented for the earth. And the arrow is used to indicate the arctic which was the main subject of the project.

Abstract

This second image is the origin photo, and the first one was the one which was adjusted by using Photoshop. The author of this image want to make the abstract version of the image, so he used the software to stimulate the image. He changed the color to make it look surreal. This is the image, I found on the internet. This is image about the term of typography design. I like this image, because it use all the relative term in typography design like kerning, tracking. It combined very well among these term to produce this good image.

One good design website

This is a screen shot of the UNIQLO MIXPLAY website. When we first look of this website, it is a little bit simple. But when you scroll over the image it will play the sound of some instruments or some special sound like robot. We will find that the sound are went well with the color of the image which represents for the particular sound.

My logo

This is my logo, I got the idea to create this logo form the term of abstraction. This is my representation about the world. It is not the perfect one. In this process of creating this logo, I first draw a circle, which in my opinion it represents for the perfection. But then I add some more edges to represent the bad side of the world. And finally I come up with this logo.
